If you’re like most people, you have wondered about your purpose in life. Christians often wonder what God’s will is for their life. Think of it like this and see if it helps you gain some supernatural ease about life’s questions.
Jesus Christ, God’s Son, is hanging out somewhere near you. He’s been trying to get you interested in joining him for a night out but you put Him off because sometimes He hangs out where you have no desire to go.
Try this next time He invites you to spend time with Him. He might tell you where He wants you to go with Him but most likely He wants to surprise you so He doesn’t say. He says, “Oh, you’ll see. Just follow me.”
So this time you say “OK, why not.”
You don’t know when or where you’re going yet but you say, “Just let me know when, and I rearrange so that I can go.” He says, “Great! I will.”
Fairly soon you hear from Him, either while you’re reading the bible, or in prayer driving to work, or maybe something happens. An out of the ordinary circumstance. If you never read your bible or pray, this seems most likely. The circumstance can be really wonderful or it might seem really bad. Either way, you are aware of Jesus being near letting you know He’s there in your circumstances.
So you say, “OK, if you really want me to hang around with you now, I will but you’ve got to understand, I have these circumstances going on.” He says, “I know. Just trust me on this. You’ll be glad you did. Come with me. It’ll be great.”
You say again, “But where are we going.” He probably will say, “You’ll find out. Just stick with me.”
So you say “OK” knowing that you’re a little leary but you’re going with Him. You said you would.
God’s Will Soon to Be Revealed… This Happens to Me All the Time
I’d like to tell you where I think we’re going but I don’t really know yet. He’s starting to give me hints. Until I write again, please enjoy the beauty all around you. And if you like, talk to Him in the beauty you enjoy because He’s always there, always.

This is very good, and true! We are many times “too busy or maybe just interested in not hanging out there right now” to see that God is trying to talk to us.
Fortunately for us, our Father is patient, understanding and loves unconditionally.
Brenda, so nice to read your thoughts. I agree whole-heartedly!
Hi Terri – some great food for thought here. in this busy internet life, it is always nice to take a step back and read something that makes you stop and think for a while.
Thanks for giving me a pause in my day
Have a great day!
Omar
Thank you so much, Omar, for pausing a while here
To love and serve God I heard someone say once is the way to finding purpose in your life, although I can’t remember who it was.
The use of the phrasing “God’s Son” is peculiar.. as the Bible only uses the phrase ‘Son of God’.
Seems to show a distinct separation of people between God and the Son of God?
It’s awesome you are hearing Him though.
Finding your post was a refreshing surprise. Thank you. Yes, we are like the prodigal son, aren’t we? We’ve run off and away from our Creator God because we want to do things our own way…as if we knew what we are doing when on our own. But when we return again — because of what God the Son has done on the Cross — the Father will come running to us, give us a kiss and throw a great feast in our honor. Then all the angels in heaven will rejoice and be glad.
Hey Terri – you are right sometimes we just have to give pause and let go of what actually isn’t really important and enjoy what we have for now, because tomorrow it might not be there.
Enjoy your Easter break.
Cheers Julie
Hi Terri,
There is no doubt that we allow ourselves to get overly consumed by the day to day activities and virtually pay little attention to the truly important things in life. These definitely include the spiritual side of life but also too often includes other important factors as well. We all need to take greater advantage of quiet time and connect with forces greater than ourselves.
Very nice post,
Jim Hickey
Hi believers far n’wide one and all … good topic but a one for our own thoughts on this subject is about beliefs, I once worked with a guy who was of Indian nationality and he ask me my religious beliefs one day whilst we where taking a mornings tea break this suddenly made me think for the first time for a long time by going back to my child hood because thats were my beliefs had sort of stopped? well not exactly stopped more like had been developed I shared with him my inner thoughts from a picture in my ming of god sitting in a thrown type chair watching the wold go around? thats the image impregnated in my ming from the books that my school had taught us from the fact was at this time of thinking about this I was in my late forties we laughed a little and he shared this with me he said in his beliefs he was taught all humans are gods and that thought jelled with me from that day on and I liked that shared moment so much this is how I think today we are really really … really7 exceptional beings … now thats a belief I can be very comfortable with…
All my best to you and your beliefs
